Frank, self-appraising and psychologically revealing, these 45 minute interviews include conductors, singers, a composer and a former opera impresario are broadcast weekly during the BBC Proms season, July to September. Lebrecht interviews this year include Natalie Dessay, Steve Reich, Brigitte Fassbaender, Peter Jonas, Antonio Pappano and Christoph von Dohnanyi.
