On this week's show - 3rd January
Sam Delaney is in for Eamonn this week..
It's our FA Cup Third Round this week so expect to hear phrases like banana skins, giant killing, magic of the cup, 'Our name is on it this year,' David and Goliath and other great FA Cup cliches - maybe you could even play your own game of Fa Cup cliché bingo while you listen?
Think football and moustaches and you'll probably come up with Graeme Souness, Ian Rush, Phil Parkes, Mick Mills, Rudi Voller, Kenny Sansom and David Seaman to name but a few. But if Blyth can beat Blackburn you can add Harry Dunn to that illustrious list and The Spartans manager and their young goal hero will be on.
It's gone a bit Blythe Spartan crazy this year, they even have their own FA Cup song performed by the Quireboys and available to download here...http://www.townsend-records.co.uk/quireboys
Plus keeping the North Eastern theme going the voice of Darts Sid Waddell talks tungsten and Toon and a man who describes himself as professional comedian, actor, writer, hunter-gatherer and even philanthropist - not to mention a Huddersfield fan - Alun Cochrane.
