Sunday 4 January
With presenters Phil Williams and Rachel Burden.
Pound Shop?

From tomorrow you'll be able to get a pint for less than a quid in Wetherspoons pubs. The chain is slashing the prices of Greene King IPA and a bottle of San Miguel to just 99 pence for the month of January in a bid to attract more customers. However the move's caused concern among drink awareness campaigners. Our reporter Andrew Fletcher investigates.

Life’s Little Anomalies
We’ve been asking you to text in with your take on life’s little anomalies, and as ever you haven’t let us down. Here’s a selection of your thoughts:
Why do buildings get ‘raised’ to the ground asks Alan in Warwick.
Why do noses run and feet smell wonders Steve in Newmarket
Lee is concerned he can be overwhelmed, under whelmed but not whelmed
And Les wants to know where he can get some gorm – so people can stop saying he’s gormless.
Eric ponders - what if the hokey-cokey is what it’s all about?
On The Road Again
Here's some pics of Rachel's trip to Walthamstow market
Rachel’s on her travels again and this time she’s heading east, all the way to Walthamstow market in East London. The market has been trading since 1885 and its survived two world wars, the depression and numerous recessions. You can get virtually anything here, from fruit and veg to clothes, shoes and pots and pans, and most of it at knock down prices. It's just the kind of place that could do well if people are feeling the pinch. Rachel will talk to stall holders, shop keepers and punters about the events of the last few weeks. How do they feel about their taxes bailing out the banks and what money worries do they have?
Meanwhile back in the studio Phil will be keeping us up to date with the latest developments from the G7 meeting in Washington as well as the rest of the day's News and Sport.
We'll be adding more pictures from the market throughout the morning
It's 6.00am and Rachel checks out a fruit and veg stall being set up

and what has she got here? - text us on 85058 with your ideas

Something For the Weekend
We’re still asking you to make suggestions for our Something For the Weekend feature where you tell us what you think are the best ways to spend Saturday and Sunday This week listeners had some suggestions for Phil........
Greg in Cambridge suggested Phil try a triathlon.
Mike in Spalding suggested archery and when Phil was positive Dave from Newcastle invited him to a four day camping tournament.
Valerie who will be working today in a charity shop thinks Phil should spend an afternoon doing it to.
The Foresters Scooter club would like Phil to join them for their Sunday ride out says Pete in Loughton.
And finally Terry suggested Phil try out extreme ironing. This is where people take an ironing board to a remote location and iron a few items of clothing.
These are some of the things you already came up with.
* Get into cars: Louise from Lancashire is participating in the Blackpool to Scarborough classic car rally with her Dad, Alan from Braintree is off to the Festival of Speed at Goodwood tomorrow as is Nick from Bath who’ll be taking his 9 year old son as a birthday treat.
* Board the back of a bike: Lou from Herts is celebrating his 70th birthday by riding out in a posse with 8 Harley Davidson motorbikes, while Richard is just about to get on his bike to ride up and down the A24 near Horsham in the glorious sunshine.
* Make friends with fish: Shaun from Hereford is fishing on the river Wye today and gigging with his band tonight, while Mark from King’s Lynn has spent the night fishing in Norfolk
* Get high: It’s a fourth attempt to get airborne in a hot air balloon for Val from Bristol, the last 3 having been rained off, and Don from Otley is having his 1st flying lesson this afternoon.
* Go scavenging: I live in Northern Ireland and I’ll be collecting junk out of skips today. Bits of computers, TVs and whatever else I can put to use says Lewis from Co Armagh.
* Swim in the sea: Nuala’s on the way to train in Dover harbour for her solo channel attempt in ten days time.
* Try a new sport: Paul from Nottingham is joining 600 others at the British Fencing Championships in Sheffield while Scott in Cornwall is off to the Wayfarers Hockey Tournament in Dorset
* Get cultural: Christine in St.Helens is heading to the Ballet to see Giselle at the Lowry in Manchester
* Move abroad: Paul from London and his wife are saying goodbye to all their friends at a party today and at church tomorrow, before moving to Belgium!
* Go scouting: It’s the ‘Gilwell 24’ today. Its 24 hours of non stop fun activities for 3000 Explorer Scouts from all over the UK held at Gilwell Park Scout Campsite in North London and that’s where Fozzy from Southgate’s heading.
* Get sweaty: Debs from Teddington and her husband are travelling to Belvoir castle in Leicestershire to take part in a half Ironman triathlon
* Treat your best friend: Steve’s weekend is for his dog. First thing they’re off for 4 mile walk, that’s followed by an agility competition and then tonight it’s camping on the coast.
